In this chapter we talk about the paradox of Jevons, which shows that the increase in efficiency does not always mean a reduction in the overall consumption of resources. Although efficiency is a path to sustainability, it is essential to encourage others as the sufficiency to achieve a real reduction of environmental impacts.
