Élite Cementos, a company specialized on cement production, has registered a new Environmental Product Declaration verified by DAPcons® certification, within the DAPconstrucción® program. This DAP includes the DAPcons® 100.010 product referred to a type of pozzolanic cement, CEM IV/A (V) 42,5. Among the subtypes of products that appear, one of them is a pozzolanic cement of resistant class 42,5 MPa and with high initial resistance. The other type is a sulphate-resistante puzzolanic cement, also class resistance 42,5 MPa and with high initial resistance.
The product is produced in the Elite Cementos Plant, located in the South shipside of the Port of Castelló.
The company ReMa Ingeniería SL, a member affiliated to the DAPconstrucción® Program, was the company in charge of preparing the LCA Life Cycle Assessment, which was verified by the company ITeC. This DAPcons® is valid until December 2023 and is based on Product Category Rules PRC 100 for building products in general.
In this case, it is an LCA from cradle to the door which means that environmental impacts generated during the manufacturing phase of the product are analyzed leaving out the construction, use and end of life stages.
The DAPconstrucción® Program was created in 2008 and specializes in construction products with the aim of bringing together manufacturing companies that wish to advance in the analysis of the environmental impacts of their products and commit themselves to environmental improvement.
