More than 300 professionals from the building sector accompanied the Green Building Council Spain in the celebration of its tenth anniversary. In this event held at the Caixa Forum in Madrid, different inspirational and motivational voices have been seen giving their point of view on sustainable building with a different prism and language. They demonstrated, from a practical experience point of view, how sustainability has a real positive impact on our daily lives. The gala was presented by Juan Luis Cano, who did it with a humorous and carefree tone, in which he told eight stories that explain different points of view about sustainability and the path traveled by GBCe during the last ten years. It was also a good time to remember the work done over these ten years, including events such as the SB104 in Madrid, the WSB145 in Barcelona, the reports of the Rehabilitation Working Group (GTR), the European projects Build Upon or the positioning documents in circular economy, among others.
Later, a networking dinner was held where attendees exchanged experiences on news, changes and developments in the sector.
GBCe is a non-profit association that puts together the agents of the sector, being an autonomous organization affiliated with the International institution "World Green Building Council, WGBC", of which the Spanish council is constituted. It also works within the framework of the International Association "Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment, ISBE", based in Ottawa (Canada), of which it constitutes the Spanish chapter.
